MEET THE BOSS

A fresh way of understanding stress, behaviour, leadership and performance.

Most business problems are human problems – and most human problems involve a nervous system.

We spend years developing technical expertise, professional skills and leadership capability, yet most of us receive little or no education about the biological drivers that shape how we respond to stress, communicate, make decisions and perform under pressure.

Meet the Boss is a practical, engaging and thought-provoking introduction to the hidden biology shaping workplace behaviour, wellbeing, relationships, communication and performance.

WHY IT MATTERS

Understanding the nervous system can help people:

  • Communicate more effectively

  • Respond rather than react under pressure

  • Make better decisions

  • Build stronger workplace relationships

  • Create psychological safety

  • Lead with greater awareness

  • Develop resilience and flexibility

  • Address growth areas like public speaking

  • Thrive rather than simply cope

IS THIS FOR US?

Meet the Boss may be a good fit if:

  • You care about wellbeing, culture and performance

  • You want something more engaging than a traditional wellbeing talk

  • Your people are navigating stress, uncertainty or change

  • You are looking for an engaging learning opportunity that helps people feel connected, valued and supported

  • You believe people, relationships and performance are connected

Why now?

  • Conversations about stress, burnout, resilience, neurodiversity and nervous system regulation are becoming increasingly common in workplaces.

  • Employees are hearing terms such emotional regulation, psychological safety and nervous system health.

  • Meet the Boss looks beyond the buzzwords to provide a practical understanding of how our biology shapes our experience.

  • "Thank you! Today was truly fascinating. Reviewing how the nervous system works, alongside discussing situations of self-harm, made the realities of these challenges feel much more tangible. I feel better equipped to respond to disclosures in a professional, supportive, and sensitive manner, and more aware that such situations can affect groups of students, not just individuals."
