Bringing the science of being human to life.
Hi, I’m Beth
I believe we’re beautifully adapted to survive in a world we’ve outgrown – and we all deserve the knowledge to thrive.
Having studied Zoology and worked in sustainability for 25 years, I’ve come to believe that changing systems begins with understanding ourselves.
Now, I’m using the skills I developed helping some of the world’s biggest companies communicate complex information to help spark personal change.
I working at the intersection of neuroscience, well-being and communications to translate science into actionable insights and tools.
Ethical foundations
How I work and the values that guide me
Everything I share is rooted in deep respect for the complexity of being human. That includes a clear commitment to ethics, safety and transparency.
I don’t claim to have all the answers – I share powerful insights drawn from science, lived experience and years of work helping people make sense of complex systems. I share these insights with care, humility and integrity.
This is not therapy.
I am not a licensed therapist and I don’t offer clinical treatment.
What I do offer is neuroscience-informed, experiential learning, grounded in lived insight and scientific understanding. My work is not a replacement for therapy. It is a companion to deeper self-awareness, designed to support personal growth, resilience, and self-understanding.
I work within my scope.
My background is in biology, communication and resilience training. I bring 25 years of experience helping people understand complex human issues. I am a Certified Havening Techniques Practitioner, Resilience Coach and hold a Level 2 Certificate in Self-harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention. I am working towards a Certificate in Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies. I stay within my lane, and when something falls outside my scope, I signpost people to appropriate clinical or specialist support.
I prioritise safety.
When I talk about sensitive topics like self-harm or anxiety, I do so with care and compassion. I avoid sensationalism or triggering detail. My core aim in sharing the science of being human is to leave people feeling more hopeful, less ashamed and more equipped to understand themselves. I include guidance for seeking additional support where needed.
I am transparent about my journey.
Some of my insight comes from lived experience, including my journey through anxiety and self-harm when I was a student. I share this not to offer advice or personal solutions, but to help reduce shame and stigma and to inspire others. I pair my story with science so that others can better understand their story.
I’m here to build bridges – not barriers.
I don’t pretend to be a psychologist, counsellor or academic. I’m a communicator, educator and guide – offering a bridge between clinical insight and human experience. My goal is not to be the expert in the room, but to help others feel safe enough to grow, understand and heal.
I believe we need to work together across disciplines – clinicians, educators, communicators, researchers and those with lived experience. Without this, we risk blocking people from accessing the knowledge and tools that could change their lives. My work is about widening the circle, not narrowing it.
